We’re thrilled to announce that our newest project, Sea Glass Two-Tone Frosted Glass Dice, is almost ready to set sail on Kickstarter next week.
Inspired by sea glass that forms after decades of tumbling in the ocean, these dice feature a soft, frosted finish and layered colors that shift depending on the angle you view them. To create that authentic “sea pebbled” aesthetic, we use acid etching to achieve the look and feel much faster than nature alone.
We’ve been crafting glass dice for several years now, and it’s become one of our favorite materials to work with. Real glass has a completely different feel in the hand... cool to the touch, smooth yet substantial and it stands apart from both resin and gemstone dice. When we started experimenting with dual-tone layering, we realized we could make designs unlike anything we had offered before. After plenty of testing and fine-tuning, we’re finally ready to share them with you.
